Leigh Householder
VP/Director of Innovation Strategy
Leigh has an uncanny memory for statistics. She can tell you how many physicians carry smartphones, how many boomers ask Dr Google about hiccups, and how many times new moms mention brands by name in their daily conversations. It comes from her dedication to understanding the business case for big ideas. She’s our go-to for presentations and perspectives, metrics and measures, and context for all the content.
Leigh has more than thirteen years of experience creating digital strategies for Fortune 1000 companies and developing social media approaches in highly-regulated industries, like insurance and banking. At iQ, Leigh leverages that experience to develop clear points of view on how technology can change healthcare marketing. Leigh also contributes to The Well, a division of GSW focused on health and wellness. There, she crafts brand strategy and insight with a specific focus on socializing brands in the interactive space.
Leigh is author of the popular Advergirl.com blog, recognized as one of the top 100 industry blogs by AdAge in 2007 and 2008. She is the editor and publisher of two GSW blogs – WhatsYourDigitaliQ, named one of Facebook’s top 50 healthcare blogs, and BrandLiberators.com, which bring together the ideas of 15 clinicians, creatives, strategists, and executives. She was recently named to The “Adweek 25″ which recognizes the best advertising voices on Twitter.
In 2011, Leigh was named a Rising Star by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) for her overt passion, industry thought leadership and significant contributions in new business, strategy, and mentoring. She has spoken about trends and social media at national and regional conference for PRSA, AMA, ACUHO-I, American Society of Association Executives, Ohio Grantmakers Forum, and others. She contributes to many publications, including MedAdNews, PharmaVoice, PM360, Financial Times, Marketing Vox, DMI Review, The Social Path, AdWeek, and Business First.
